Multi Remote Desktop Client .NET

Screenshots . Code Snippets . Features . History

Introduction

Comes on handy when managing your RDP connections. A friendly user interface for you to work and navigate easily.

Background

Thanks to AxInterop.MSTSCLib (mstscax.dll) It's an ActiveX COM Component which you can use to connect on your Remote Desktop. So, I made a GUI for it for you to connect on your servers via terminal service on multiple window view in one application. How to use MSTSCAX.DLL?
  1. You must have the ActiveX file in your system called "mstscax.dll".
  2. if not, then you can Google for the file and download it, then make sure you registered it using "RegSvr32 ". I think that's one of the IIS package if you installed the Remote Desktop Web Connection.
  3. On the UI Design mode in VS2005 or 8.

go to your toolbox and Open Choose Toolbox Items and look for Microsoft RDP Client Control in COM Components tab.
  4. I'm guessing you successfully added that control in your toolbar. So I don't think I have to explain how to get that in your Form.

Source Codes or Binaries can be downloaded in
CodePlex or CodeProject
Though this is not the latest source code but it's working

  4. Hello

this is a very nice solution, but what about WinMo? There are mstscax modules out on some devices (at least WinCE devices).
Do you think it is possible to use mstscax on windows mobile devices too?

Currently I am using a redesktop windows port to overcome the restrictions of RemoteDesktopMobile (RDM): No autoconnect, session closed after 10 minutes of user idle time etc.

I am very interested in using MSTSCAX on WM devices.

Good question. I tried actually working on it but didn't get much time to work on the problems since am a fulltime developer. But as soon as I got my energy back to WinMO app.. am pretty much sure make another blog site for it :)
